Dental Bridges

Dental Bridges in the North Bergen & Passaic Area

Dental Bridges are Used to Repair the Conditions of a Missing Tooth.
A missing tooth makes it harder to chew food and can lead to dental problems such as tooth decay and gum disease. The dental bridges designed and installed by Castillo and Mulkay Dental will not only repair the conditions of a missing tooth but also provide years of useful service.

What are Dental Bridges?

A dental bridge is a dental restoration used to replace a missing tooth either by joining permanently to adjacent teeth or dental implants. When a tooth is missing and there are teeth on either side, a bridge, i.e. a custom-made false tooth is created and placed permanently in the area left by the missing tooth. The bridge is held in place by porcelain crowns placed on the teeth on each side of the space to be filled.

Benefits of Dental Bridges
  • Dental bridges reduce the risk of gum disease and decay.
  • Dental bridges limit the drifting of remaining teeth.
  • Dental bridges help correct uneven smiles.
  • Dental bridges help correct chewing problems and improve speech.
  • Dental bridges help reduce jaw pain and headaches from bad bite alignment.

At Castillo and Mulkay Dental, we fabricate dental bridges from a variety of materials including gold, other metals and porcelain.
